Eleven years ago we moved our family of six out of suburbia onto our own small farm in central North Carolina. It was a dream of ours to raise our kids on a small farm, to teach them work ethic, and to show them that food is a REAL living thing and that it takes care, sweat, and patience to produce high quality food. We started with just land. Then we built our house, fences, a barn, and shelters — and we keep adding animals: chickens, ducks, bees, Mini Nubian goats, Mini Jersey dairy cows, 2 dogs, and 4 cats.
Its a dream come true, but it takes a LOT of work. We wanted to do this the RIGHT WAY, where the animals that produce the food are treated with love and care, where they get to graze on verdant pastures, organic hay, be out in the fresh air, have plenty of access to clean, fresh water and be treated with the respect they deserve by the humans who care for them. The quality and health value of the food produced here has a direct correlation to the health of the animals that provide it, and animals that are treated with love and respect actually turn out to be the most healthy animals.
We've always cared about organic and natural — back in suburbia we grew most of our own vegetables and canned enough tomatoes and peppers to last the year. Sabrina has mastered going from a Suburban Mom who had this "farm dream" to after a decade of learning, pioneering and an incredible amount of hard work... to an OSM ("awesome") Farmer. Along the way we've added farmhands David Clark and Gillian McGirr, who are an integral part of our OSM Farm.
Our whole lives are invested in this and in providing the highest quality and the most OSM products that exist on earth! We raise our own eggs, meat, raw milk, soap, lotion, and skin care. Everything we sell, we use ourselves. That's the only test that matters.

Our Mini Jersey Cows
We switched to Mini Jerseys because they thrive on our predominantly grass-based system while producing nearly as much milk as Guernseys. They require only about two-thirds as much feed and half the acreage, making them a better fit for both our farm and our customers.
To maintain the quality of our milk, we purchase only A2/A2 cows, ensuring our herd continues to produce exclusively A2/A2 milk. We also continue to feed certified organic hay from Cohen Farm in Pittsboro, NC.
Aside from the 20 minutes each day when they come in for milking, our cows spend their time grazing on fresh pasture. You’ll often find them wading in one of our three ponds or resting in the abundant shade throughout the fields. We carefully rotate pastures to promote healthy grass growth and support natural parasite control.
